Word of Bob – Thursday 3rd August

Good Evening Everyone.

We have lift-off and an explosion in crowd numbers. Long may it continue. Worcester City’s first game with us at home to Tuffley Rovers attracted 487 spectators, and Worcester Raiders visit to Pershore Town had an attendance of 427.

This Weekend

This weekend sees a big test, with the earliest round of The FA Cup. where we pitch against the best in our peer Leagues. With one game on Sunday (Cinderford Town at Wokingham & Emmbrook from The Combined Counties League) all other games are set for the Saturday.

Also joining in on Saturday are our Division One teams starting their League campaigns.

Good luck to everyone. Let us have a great season.

Match Result Reporting this week & beyond.

After a few early glitches the new forms are working well. It is now a matter of getting used to them. We thank Craig Davenport for his work on these.

We are edging nearer every team having two SMS Results contacts. We are good to go in the Premier Division. Division One has two clubs with one contact. In Division Two & Veterans football both have five clubs with only one, and both one with no contacts.

In the Veterans Divisions there are five clubs yet to submit a Form D.

House Keeping

The Gate Passes have not arrived yet. For the time-being, those clubs that still have passes from last season, please continue with these. If not when answering the Match Confirmation from the Host Club, please include your officers attending (a maximum of six) which can be provided to the Gateman. On arrival on the matchday, please identify at the gate.

Similarly with the Electronic Substitute Boards, we are awaiting a firm delivery date. Again, please use the board you had in use last season.

Please Check.

We have noticed a potential pattern in FA Full Time this season. Please will all TEAMS check that the person that is receiving the Full-Time updates (revised fixtures etc….) for that team, is the right person for that team. Let my know if a correction is needed.

Let us all have a great weekend.

Regards

Bob
