Corsham Town are the remaining uhlsport Hellenic League club in the FA Vase after their 1-0 victory over Deal Town. It’s been a long wait for Corsham whose match against Deal was postponed twice before the game today.
Corsham will have another home tie in the next round as they face Brixham on Saturday 11th February in only two weeks time.
Sadly Hartpury Uni couldn’t make it a double Hellenic League triumph as they went down 2-0 at Atherstone. They’ve had a creditable run in the competition, especially as they’re a Division One side with very little experience in Vase competition. They should be proud of this season’s achievements.
Elsewhere in Hellenic Cup competition Thornbury Town were 2-1 winners over top of Hellenic Division Two East side Newbury.
Wins for Longlevens, Roman Glass St George, Brimscombe & Thrupp and a 2-0 win for Shrivenham in a local derby against Fairford Town.
Westifelds and Mangotsfield played out a 2-2 draw in Hereford while Chipping Sodbury and Lydney also drew.
