There was big cup action in the Wiseman Lighting Floodlit Cup last night. Drama at Calne where the home side were victorious 4-2 on penalties over Chipping Sodbury Town.
Abingdon United gave a good account of themselves at home to high-fliers Malvern Town but ultimately went down by 3 goals to 2. Elsewhere, Malmesbury Victoria earned a creditable 2-0 victory in front of the biggest crowd of the evening.
In the Premier division a rampant Cribbs were 7-0 victors over Shrivenham and return to the top of the uhlsport Hellenic League Premier division.
There’s also a new leader in Hellenic League Division One where Milton United have leapfrogged Pershore Town to move into top spot after a 2-0 win over Bourton Rovers.
