Westfields returned to winning ways with a 4-1 home win over visiting Chipping Sodbury at Allpay.park on Saturday.

Westfields completed a league double over the lowly Bristol side after a barren spell of just 1 Hellenic League win in 9 outings.

Leading goal scorer Josh Hunt put Westfields ahead from the penalty spot then youngster Harrison Summers added a second before Chipping Sodbury pulled a goal back.   Dan Stoneman gave Westfields a 3-1 interval lead before the break.

After the interval Westfields ran siege on the visitors’ goal and Summers put Westfields 4-1 ahead then the man of the match youngster saw a brilliant save by the visitors’ keeper deny him a hat trick.

Westfields finished the game strong and but for a brilliant display by The Sods keeper Westfields could have scored further second-half goals.

Next Saturday Westfields travel to Malvern Town for the first round of the Hellenic League Cup, kick off 3pm at Langland Stadium .
