It was heartbreak for Worcester City as their FA Vase campaign came to an end in Essex. A late goal from Great Wakering Rovers took it to penalties and it was the Essex side who came out on top. Worcester City can look back proudly on their run that saw them reach the last four of the Vase and win the uhlsport Hellenic League title. There’s still a few league fixtures and the small matter of league cups to compete in for Worcester City before they leave us for Step 4.
In the Premier division there were wins for Cinderford Town, Higwhorth Town, Royal Wootton Basset Town and Tuffley Rovers. It was a vital win for Cinderford who are still in with a shot of a play off place.
In uhlsport Hellenic League Division One Calne Town, Newent Town and Southam United were victors this afternoon.
In our Marsh Supplementary Cup competition it was the students of Uni of Bristol who were victorious, winning on a penalty shoout out against Clanfield 85. Uni of Bristol are still competing on multiple fronts and have a busy end to the season. Clanfield 85’s eyes will be on the Division One playoffs after their strong 3rd placed finish.
