There’s only one place to start a round-up of all uhlsport Hellenic League action this Saturday, and that’s at the Sixways Stadium in Worcester where City were 1-0 winners over Great Wakering Rovers of the Essex Senior League. The crowd at Worcester was 3000+ which is a remarkable figure for a game at this level. However, the rewards for victory are great, a chance to visit Wembley Stadium.
They take the narrowest of margins to Essex next weekend and it goes without saying that everyone at the league, and I’m sure the Hellenic League clubs, will be wishing them all the best.
Elsewhere we now have six of our member clubs who have completed all league fixtures. Fairford Town, Hereford Pegasus, Tytherington Rocks, FC Bristol, Abingdon United and Hartpury University have no league fixtures remaining to play. Only cup action and the chance of a playoff game remain for these clubs.
