A few games were lost due to the weather today with pitches at Cinderford Town, Pershore Town and Clanfield 85 not deemed playable. Despite that there was a decent amount of football played on New Years Day.
Game of the day came at Pegasus where the home side were beaten by five goals to three in an eight goal thriller.
Corsham Town won their third game on the trot by a single goal to nil, winning against an in-form Tuffley Rovers side at Glevum Park. Worcester City kept hot on their heels with a solid 3-0 “home” victory over Highworth Town at Malvern Town’s Langland Stadium.
In the solitary uhlsport Hellenic League Division One fixture, FC Bristol were also 5-3 winners. Long Crendon were the team on the wrong side of the scoreline today.
