Surprise of the day came at Thornbury Town where the home side were 3-0 victors over high flying Malvern Town. Cribbs took full advantage of the slip up with a convincing 4-0 victory over Fairford. The Bristol based side are now top of the Hellenic League Premier table with 72 points from 28 games. They are one point ahead of Malvern with two games in hand.
Corsham Town couldn’t follow up their FA Vase exploits with a league victory on Saturday going down 3-2 to the Lillywhites.
At the bottom of the Premier division Chipping Sodbury were well beaten at Worcester Raiders. Rock bottom of the table are Tuffley Rovers, who picked up another point as they attempt to claw themselves off bottom spot.
