Christmas Greetings.
I’d like to take this opportunity to wish all connected with the Uhlsport Hellenic League a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year.
I’d particularly like to thank our sponsors, (Uhlsport, Marsh Sports Club Insurance, Bateman’s Sports, Wiseman Lighting and Allsports Trophies) without whom we would not be able to operate as well as we do.
A big thankyou to everyone connected to a club for their hard work and dedication, which is very much needed to keep clubs operating (as a long-time club secretary myself, I understand more than some what goes into running a club). A big thankyou to all our match officials, without whom we could not play the game we all love and a big thankyou to the League’s Officers whose dedication allows the league to flourish and is amongst the best-run at our level.
This time of the year is also about reflection and I’d like to send the League’s best wishes for a speedy recovery to Lucas Vaughan of Lydney Town who was involved in a car accident earlier this month. We also received the shocking news of the passing of the long-time secretary of Brimscombe & Thrupp. Allan Boulton was a football man through & through and we send our deepest condolences to Scott, his family and all connected to Brimscombe & Thrupp FC.
I’d like to end by wishing all the best to our 3 remaining clubs in the last 32 of the Isuzu FA Vase-Hartpury University, Highworth Town & Worcester City.
