Stokenchurch looking for new manager

Stokenchurch Football Club Announcement and Letter of Appeal

It is with much regret and sadness that after 9 years as Stokenchurch Football Club’s First Team Manager, David Fisher has decided to step down.

Fish had guided the Lambs back to a standard that a club like ours should be playing at, by reintroducing us to the highly regarded Hellenic League. It is here, through his tenure, that he brought back some great success to the club in winning a league title and cup competition.

Not only has Fish managed and coached the clubs first team he has also played a huge part in the day to day running of the club. Generating sound sponsorship deals, securing an excellent training facility and maintaining the excellent standard of the pitch.

He will now look to potentially reside on the clubs committee with the hope that we may now bring in a new manager and players to take the club forwards once again.

Stokenchurch Football Club resides a couple of minutes drive off of junction 5 of the M40. If there is anyone interested and keen to manage a local, friendly club then please do not hesitate to contact me. Our club was derived in 1886 and we are very keen to keep such a wonderful village side thriving in such difficult times.

Many thanks

Kind regards

Steve Gunnell
