The Fifth Round of the Buildbase FA Vase saw the two remaining uhlsport Hellenic League teams progressing yesterday to the quarter final stages.
Against Plymouth Parkway the visitors Flackwell Heath struck three times in the last 20 or so minutes. The final score was Plymouth Parkway 2 Flackwell Heath 4. The ‘Heathen’s’ goal scorers were Jack Taylor 24 Mitchell Parker 71 Simeon Weekes 84 James Mansfield 90 + 4.
After a goal less 90 minutes a penalty shoot out decided the result of the Hadfield v Binfield tie. The ‘Moles’ had sure with 5 straight scores and the home side dropped one goal.
The two victorious Hellenic sides will now be back in Vase Quarter Final action next week end (1 May). Binfield take a trip north to Derbyshire to challenge Midland Premier League side Long Eaton at their Grange Park ground. Whilst Flackwell Heath head south to Hampshire to face Wessex League United Services Portsmouth at The Victory Stadium, Portsmouth.
