Shrivenham Football Club can confirm that it has parted company with manager Chris Hurley following just 12-months in charge at Barrington Park.
Chris arrived at the club ahead of the 2020-21 campaign from Brackley Town Saints, but endured a tough time during his spell winning just one league game in nine during the Covid-hit campaign.
Speaking to shrivenhamfc.co.uk, Chairman Matt Hirst said he was disappointed to part ways with the manager, but added that the organisation needed to change things in order to help the club move forward in a positive way.
“I have the utmost respect for Chris and he is a massively likeable person,” he said on making the announcement.
“He completely bought in to what we are trying to achieve here, but unfortunately it hasn’t worked out and I feel that we needed a fresh start in order to help us get back on track.
“On behalf of everybody at Shrivenham Football Club, I wish Chris the very best for the future and he will always be welcome at Barrington Park.”
The club will now begin its search for a successor ahead of the 2021-22 getting underway and will have further reaction following the decision available tomorrow.
